Emma Chamberlain Personal life
Michael John Chamberlain, an artist, and Sophia Pinetree Chamberlain, a flight attendant, welcomed Chamberlain into the world on May 22, 2001 in San Bruno, California. Her parents, who separated when she was five years old, had only one kid.
Although being raised in the usually wealthy city of San Francisco, Chamberlain said in a 2018 interview with Forbes that her family faced financial difficulties when she was a youngster. When her father became ill and was unable to paint, the family went through "hard times" since they had relied on contracts for his artwork.
She went to Central Middle School in San Carlos, California, and Notre Dame High School in Belmont, a Catholic all-girls prep school, where she participated in the track and cheering squads.
She was a part of the California All Stars Pink cheer squad and competed in cheer for five years. She graduated from high school after passing the California High School Exit Test during the first semester of her junior year.
Emma Chamberlain Career
After speaking to her father about her dissatisfaction with high school at the conclusion of her sophomore year, Chamberlain decided to start a YouTube channel in order to explore her interests outside of the classroom. Among Chamberlain's offerings were culinary tutorials, shopping hauls, and auto vlogs. She was well-known for her love of coffee as well as her true sense of humour.
Chamberlain became well-known for her specialised editing technique, which included pauses, text addition to the screen, and zooms. Many YouTubers, like Antonio Garza and James Charles, have now imitated her editing approach. A more straightforward, more documentary-style of editing has replaced that video approach in recent years, according to Chamberlain.
Chamberlain relocated by himself from the Bay Area to Los Angeles in June 2018. Along with James Charles and The Dolan Twins, two other young YouTubers, she started the Sister Squad there. In YouTube Rewind 2018, the four were highlighted. A 2019 YouTube Ensemble Shorty Award nomination for The Sister Squad was received.
Along with the videos they collaborated on with the Sister Squad, Chamberlain, fellow Dote-affiliated female YouTubers Ellie Thumann and Hannah Meloche, and the three of them together were known as "The Girdies" during the course of 2018.
Tana Mongeau asked Chamberlain to participate as a Featured Creator at Tanacon in Anaheim in June 2018. Tanacon was Mongeau's alternative to VidCon, which was held concurrently at a neighbouring convention centre. The conference was postponed owing to crowds and security issues after Chamberlain's one-on-one onstage conversation with Mongeau. United Talent Agency signed Chamberlain in July.

Chamberlain started working with the retail app Dote in March 2018. Together with several other female YouTubers, Dote sent her to Austin, Texas, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and Fiji in May 2018. Low Key / High Key by Emma, a clothing brand created by Chamberlain, was made available via Dote in July 2018. Early in 2019, Chamberlain severed connections with Dote because of problems surrounding the company.

She visited Paris Fashion Week in March 2019 as part of a collaboration between YouTube and Louis Vuitton, arranged by Derek Blasberg, YouTube's head of partnerships for fashion and beauty. For the occasion, she was partnered with model and YouTuber Karlie Kloss. The Dolan Twins and Chamberlain each posted videos on their own channels on June 4, 2019 that both included the other.
Since the previous Sister Squad videos were released in December, they have not worked together on a project. James Charles' absence added to the impression that the Sister Squad had disbanded. She established Chamberlain Coffee, a mail-order coffee business, in December 2019.

Emma Chamberlain Controversy
The Cartier necklace that YouTube sensation Emma Chamberlain wore to this month's Met Gala in Manhattan has drawn criticism.
The choker that the 20-year-old was sporting was formerly owned by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala, which is located in Punjab in North India, but it inexplicably disappeared.
According to reports, Chamberlain represents the Cartier jewellery brand.
The choker's history is explained here.
The Maharaja requested that Cartier create a ceremonial necklace out of a DeBeers diamond. It was created in 1928 and quickly gained the name Patiala Necklace. In today's money, it would have cost about $30M.
In 1948, the necklace from the Patiala royal treasure was declared lost. Years later, in 1982, the necklace's diamond component was sold at a Sotheby's auction.
In 1998, Cartier discovered a portion of the necklace in a London jewellery store and repaired it with cubic zirconia stones.
By enabling Chamberlain to wear "part of India's stolen history," Cartier has come under fire.
